Rooney

Rooney was a stray cat that was being fed by our friend over the main road. Feral was an understatement. I had a phone call one day from the animal welfare to ask if I could go to catch a cat with a broken leg at the hotel by me. When I got there it was quite obvious that his leg wasn’t broken and also I had no idea how to catch him. The chef at the hotel somehow managed to grab him and with Rooney clawing and biting him, he got him in the box. Rooney had to have his leg amputated to his hip and I kept him at home hoping to get him rehomed. The animal welfare found him a home but sadly he was reluctant to tame. He became best friends with our cat Goofy so we just allowed him to stay with us. Now, he enjoys his strokes and cuddles but we are still far from picking him up or tableting.
