Bat

I found Bat lying nearly dead on a road. I took him to the vets and he was severely dehydrated and was weighing in at just 1.5kg. With lots of good food and love he gained strength and weight. But that wasn't the end. He started to pee blood which after examination he needed an operation to clear his bladder. Once they were operating they found polyps in his bladder causing the problem with him urinating. When we moved to Cyprus he once again started peeing blood. This time he had bladder stones, which were successfully removed. It doesn't end there. After a few months he started to struggle to breathe which we just assumed was a cold or cat flu. Medicine didn't seem to work so it was another trip to the vets. The X-rays of his lungs came back clear and his nose showed no mucus. He was sedated so they could flush his nose and I was given drops to put up his nose each day. He seemed ok for a couple of days but slowly went back to sounding like a walrus. The next step is a CT scan to look at his sinuses which is where the vet thinks the problem is.

Other than that Bat is doing brilliant and is a very well loved cat of the group by us and by other cats. We sometimes use him as a decoy so we can get close to some of the feral cats.
